idle curriosity about a hood

is there any way to make a third gen hood with a 3" cowl open the way a corvette hood does? does anyone make a kit? or is that a ton of custom work not worth the time?

I think i might just have to go to the junk yard and take a look at some vette's tomarrow then. i think it would be cool, but only if i can do it myself without having to pay some body shop boat loads of $$ to do it.

there used to be a company that made a front clip for camaros that did that, but it was utter garbage. It's a ton of work to make work correctly, requires a different radiator (your hinge would go there) and when closed is not noticable, plus it makes it a ***** to work on the front of the motor

IMO- unless you have a show mainly show use car, I wouldn't do it. Like arch said, it makes it a pain to work on the motor, esp if your DD and you will be under the hood more often-
