wheel refinishing
wheel refinishing
heres what me and my friend did for 8 hours yesterday. we sanded down 2 of the iroc wheels til they were perfect and painted them. damn they look good. ok heres how we did it. started out with 80 or 100 grit on all the really bad spots and worked our way up to 180 and then 320. each of us did 1 wheel so seeing that it took 8 hours we must have done an amazing job haha. i used that duplicolor wheel coating. silver metallic and than i used the clear they make for wheels. pictures from top to bottom are in order of sanding one wheel, cleaning it, 1st coat, 2nd coat, 3rd coat and than clear coat. when i feel like it im going to make the lip and the upper most part of the spokes black
Im not meaning to be picky... but I think you should have put a few more coats on there. Look at the pictures right before you mounted them. Unless you did more spraying after those pics, then you can still see some red...
But regardless it looks pretty good for rattlecan!
