I bought one last december on ebay but never arrived, i got a refund, but now i canīt find a decent one, looks like they don't sell it anymore. Yo! i bought the tach last week, ha, i took a chance i had and went to the US. The question now, after reading the intruction sheet and understanding that i'm not very good at reading diagrams is, can i plug the tach wire to the back of the instrument panel where the stock tach wire is???, or do i have to plug it directly to the negative ignition coil wire, any ideas of what can be the best way????? Thanks!!

The tach should be non cyl specific, meaning it should have three wires on the back, that one should be cut depending on what cyl your car is. In the diagram it should say "4 Cyl - Cut brown wire, 6 Cyl - Cut the yellow wire, etc". And yes, you have to plug it into the coil. There is no attaching it to the instrument cluster. You need one positive from the battery, and one lead from the fusebox for the shift light. The rest should be explained in the diagram.

As soon as you put it in your will rpobably notice that your stock tach is off- mine was off 200 rpm as opposed to what the computer was showing..

And Phate has the wiring down- thats basically all there is to it..

I already installed the tach, yesterday.
I have a 94 Z28, i'll post some pictures tomorrow. Took 6 hours but i did it as clean as i could and it was worth it. (ŋ?)
Had to drill it on the dash between the dash trim and the passenger airbag. I think i'm getting a little bit better on the electrical thing ja. Thankx guys, helped a lot !!

Im glad the install went smoothly. Although I dont care for those style tach's, it does match your theme and looks good at night.
