Do you have an SS hood? Come on in...

Anyone have an aftermarket SS hood for their 93-02 f bodies? Let's see some pics of your car. I bought one from ebay and it's a piece of crap and very fragile around the corners (Cracks). I wanna see your fitment and how much gap you really have. So, Let's see some pics.

Who did you buy it from? I did too and mine's a POS as well. Very fragile and flexible, and the fiberglass itself had some serious issues. View my thread http://www.projectcamaro.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=11780 because I attached pics of the damage and the hood on the car.

^ That really sucks man. I feel for you man, i really do. I have the same problem and the gaps on it were pretty noticeable. My bodyshop did as much as they could and they did alot better job then what they had before. I'll post pics of my car when i get it tomorrow. I bought mine off ebay and the seller was "Matt Crabtree" He had awesome feedbacks and told me 3 times that he had not had any complaints so far

I got mine from Pershing Auto Body (ebay best seller award, 23,000+ sales, 99% positive) and it was crap as you could see if you viewed my thread. Did you have the fiberglass bubbles as well? I called them back and they refunded $150 dollars for repairs, so I guess it wasn't a total loss considering I got it shipped for $460. Sorry to hear about your probs too man.

Good to know you got $150 back from them. I had major fiberglass bubbles on mine and thats why it was cracking all the time. Like i said above, my bodyshop guy did an awesome job on it and hopefully i won't need hood pins.

Even some of the best 'glass hoods are usually iffy on quality control, I'd be really nervous of any of the smaller lost cost outifits.

Its not a horrible fitting hood! It just takes some professional aligning to set it up..

Dude your car is so freakin sick! Every time I see pics of it I'm just like DAMN! Especially those custom red Halos. The RKSport hoods are like $700ish right? I should have gone with one of those instead of trying to save a couple hundred. I just hope when I get my hood back this time the bubbles stay gone. I don't know what I'm gonna do about the hood struts tho because I haven't been able to find any for an SS...I heard something about bleeding the fluid out of the stock ones IDK tho. My alignment wasn't terrible, but it could have been better.

What about the hood struts? Why would you bleed fluid out of them?
