Since I started racking up the miles, I switched from Mobil 1 synthetic to Valvoline Max Life Synthetic Blend. The leak seemed less obvious and I did not notice any difference in performance. I am happy so far.

mobile 1 10w30 in the gp and royal purple 10w30 in the truck (probably go back to mobile 1 in it since it's cheaper) both vehicles have well over 100k on them

in my truck i use quaker state high mileage oil. my moms car uses mobil 1 full syn. any other car runs on penz, castrol, or quaker. couldn't tell the difference when i tried any of the other ones in the truck.

I use to always run Mobile One Synthetic but over the past year I switched to Royal Purple. I also run Royal Purple everywhere else like the rear end and such.
I've been happy with both. Oil is one of the things I won't cheap out on, it's so important to the engine.
