This car:




Will be repainted Navy Blue Metallic from the LS1 bodied cars. Usually I'd be too afraid I wouldn't like it as much as the original color, but I decided to make a semi-spontaneous decision and stick with it.

I'm keeping these emblems on the fenders:


as well as the chrome rear fill ins (will get new ones). I'll also be painting the calipers blue (yes you can still see them with the stock wheels, which I will be repainting silver. I also want to freshen up the faded center caps by putting some custom pinstriping around the area that used to have 3 stripes with "Chevrolet" writing. A sort of stretched out circular pinstripe.

I've been prepping the car at my house and will soon be working on it more at school, pics of the progress soon.

I will be repairing the damage, I've done a similar repair on the 1/4 of a Crown Victoria, which was actually much worse.

And I was thinking since the car will be that dark blue, my wheels might look better like this:

It hit me. I crossed a driveway of a business doing about 15 -20 MPH or so, and when I was right in the middle of the driveway I see a truck backing up slowly, he didn't even stop.

Anyone know if the the color is the exact same on the Trans Ams?? because It's always looked darker to me on the T/As.
