F**k, Black Magic Killed My Rims, Help!!
K, this really blows........i my g/fs NEW bottle of black magic rim/wheel cleaner........it's totally f'cked my wheels. check the pics, i'm praying that i can take this to a place like autobuff and have them buff the **** out of it.......any suggestions, PLEASE FIRE AT ME!!

Are they scratches or makrS? Try using regular auto soap and scrub, if not, try another rim cleaner, or take it to a detailing shop. Then email black magic with those pics and ask for your money back, and then some if u pay for someone to clean them properlyu.

if any of u guys want a really nice wheel cleaner... form removing brake dust and dirt use this stuff called "spray 9" spray it on and rub it with a brush... easy... also cleans tires really good... best ever

hands down best wheel cleaner ive found is sonus wheel bright.. ive used griot's garage wheel cleaner which works very well but often i find the griots garage isnt as strong as the sonus stuff...

if you just want a basic wheel cleaner... go with eagle one all wheel cleaner, it works very well on soiled wheels, but i find that its a bit too aggressive for weekly washes... i only use the eagle one stuff during winter when brakedust mixes with salt and other stuff....
may have just eaten through the clearcoat in places... did you use a wire brush or something to scrub the wheels? wheels need a soft bristle brush to clean...
try taking out the wheel and use a scratch remover for auto paint (scratch x works well), and see if you can just polish the wheel a bit.... if it dont work you might need to get it repainted... get the pictures to black magic, see if they will cover the cost of getting the wheels re-painted

this is wat ur gonna have to do.. this happen to me once.. get a wax pad (1 of them small ones) and get any polish product and do it by hand ... i had to do that it took forever but it looked awesome afterwards.

First off tell us what wheels you have, and what type of finish you have, If it's polished alumnum no wonder. NEVER USE WHEEL CLEANER ON POLISHED ALUMINUM WHEELS!
Now what you have to do is contact Black Magic and adress your problem. Ask for advice at a professional detail shop. Based on my experience I think you should try an aluminum polish or metal polish. They are probably stains.

first off, what kind of wheels makes no difference, but for sake of answering your question, they are eagle alloys.. saying this post is long dead, i'll fill you in on the happenings.
i contacted black magic, who then had me send pics. they agreed the damage was their products problem as the bar code matched their call back list. for some reason, these polished wheels were clear coated, so what had happend was the product ate the clear coat, and started to eat away at the finish.
as for polishing out, good luck.
the clear coat was stripped, and the rims refinished, 350 dollars, black magics expense. i then contacted the manufacturer of the rims about whether i should re clear them, response:
"if our rims were supposed to be clear coated, we'd sell them that way. We suggest using a car wax, like meguirs gold class, and autosol ONLY, NO CLEAR COAT"
results:
