LS1 Hood on LT1

I couldn't find an answer on the old postings and this probably a stupid question but...

Can I do it? I might even put the new headlights on too.

I have a badly messed up hood from a car bra (car sat for years with it on). Gettin ready to paint the car and had my eye on a certain hood from VFN. Its the one on thje Red Alert car that looks like a Stingray scoop. The bad part is they want $1,000 to make a new mold. Otherwise they have the same one in stock for the LS1.

you would need the ls1 front bumper aswell so no

even if you somehow got it to mount up and shut, it would look insanely retarded with the lines of the hood and the lt1 style lights, and the bumper headlight buckets

You need to do a front end conversion to mount up the ls1 style lights, and then you would be able to mount a ls1 hood, (personally i would buy the SS hood)

If you buy the front fenders, front nose, headlights, headlight bracket, and then the hood, you can bolt all that up.

That would work except for the cost. VFN wants $1000 to make the hood I want that they used to sell for $360. Its the one Meissen has on his car.

Functional Air Hood for a 3.8, V-6..

I saw Ecklers Camaro sells a SS functional ram air hood for the 1998-2002 3.8L Camaros...

How do you actually make it functional ? Do I need to get a certain cold air intake kit to attach to it to make it functional ?
