My new system

Hey guys, check out my new subs.

It includes two 10 inch 900W Alpine type S subs and an Alpine 1500W amp

Sorry for the dirty car though, the weather here has been rainy and terrible.

Needless to say I'm a PC and home theater freak who loves alot of bass. Car audio seems to be the new trend, since I never had a car before this one worth installing speakers in.

What do you guys think of the box? My T-Tops fit very nicely in the stock holders also. Any suggestions?

It's hard to tell by the picture but the amp does have a bit of space above it to allow some air circulation. I'll turn it up and let it see to see if it gets hot next weekend.

You can get the amp for 250$ and each speaker for 77$ on sale if you know where to look.

I also concur with the previous statement. It could do harm but I have seen amps more cramped up than that in truck setups and such with no side effects.

you need at least 3 inches above it think just like your home amp, you wouldn't put it under a blanket, the car amp is the same thing just a little different packaging

I think it has about 2 and a half inches of room above it . If the heat become a problem I can always make a new box.

Thanks guys, I worked really hard on it and learned a little on the way, but man I got torn up on camarov6.com. Someone told me it looked like rice. I didn't think it looked THAT bad.

It looks good for a box build, but my personal preference- I hate boxes that dont flow. But each to their own, you put work into it, so you appreciate it.
