gas comparisons..

I drive a civic and i want to find out what is better and if it is really worth buying high octane gas.. i have heard many sides to which one is better but no one has give hard proof, so pleas if you know anything about the efficiency in higher or lower octane gas please tell me.. thank you...
what does it do? does it help the engine run better? or does it do nothing..?

If you are running 10:1 compression or higher, are forced induction, then running the high octane fuel is recommended. Otherwise all you need to use is the manufacturer's recommendation.

Saw gas today at 1.19/L for regular unleaded. ing ludicrous!!

if you're not knocking right now, you won't benefit from it.

however if you have a standalone or a piggyback that can advance timing, you can get away with advancing timing, possibly making more power.. and then you must run that gas because otherwise you'll knock.
