Best Domestic Compact Car
What would you guys/gals pick between these three standard trim level domestic economy/compact cars (only these three, don't add any other cars because you think you're smart, just shut up and conform):
1. Dodge Neon/SX 2.0
(NOT SRT4 - according to internet wizards, that's not a Neon, apparently its a whole different car so no, you can't pick it)
2. Ford Focus
(Not SVT Focus, the basic Focus 3-door, 5-door, or sedan, Zetec or SPI engine)
3. GM Cavalier/Sunfire
(Z24/GT included)
Personally, I would pick a Focus hatch with a 5-speed and Zetec. They can be had for cheap and I personally think they have the best chassis and driving dynamics out of the three cars listed here. I personally think they look awesome with the factory Focus RS body parts on them. It's a european Ford design so I know it wasn't designed by cost-cutters in Michigan. I also think the Zetec engine is pretty good when compared to the competition listed here, although it doesn't produce the most power.
Anyway, what's your choice?

SRT-4 isn't a Neon? It sure looks like one, is built on the same platform
and has the same chassis and body panels save for the hood, bumper and ricer wing.
Anyways...I'd pick the Focus.

^ I realize that, but they market it as a different car, like VW does with the Golf and GTI. I'm talking about the average everyday Neon that you see, not the SRT4 which is specifically made for people who don't know how to make their own car fast.

Yeah I like the interior of the Focus too... it seems really strudy and the quality is much better then other Fords. They are fun cars to drive, even in stock form. Much more fun then a Neon or Cavalier/Sunfire I think.

I pick Focus because I used to be a previous Escort driver. and those things took a beating and a half. And since the Focus replaced it. I pick focus.
focus for sure, the zetec motor is a very durable beast, the aftermarket is pretty good as well, afterall the focus has its own magazine- none of the others do so that automatically makes it better:P
i personally kinda like the j bods but the out dated solid rear suspension would push me to the focus.
the focus actualyl replaced the contour wich replaced the tempo and tempos rule hehe
