Headlight polishing

I have had some hazing on my headlights, i tried to use mcguire plastix, but it didn't really get rid of everything, i tried wetsanding with 1500grt and then 2000 grt and then polishing with plastix but still it doesn't bring it back to new, any suggestions?

You're on the right track, but now go get some polishing compound, and borrow a polishing buffer. After that you should be good.

i had a severe problem with my car just 2 days ago, i used everything, mothers carubana, turtule wax, plasixs.. w.e. didnbt work so when i took my headlights off yesterday i tried this, wet sand the living crap out of it, and dont worry if it looks worst just do it till you get a smooth surface, then go to crappy tire and get a can of clear coat and put 4 THIN LIGHT!!!! layers on it will take time but you will get a shiny new look and after 5 days with the 4 layers of clear coat sunk in, throw in another one for a total of 5 coats trust me you will not be disappointed i will post pics of b4 and after.. i think we should have a diy section in the main fourm, make it easier.
