93 honda civic hatchback engine?

some will and some won't.
In new zealand we get a huge range,
Vti, Eti, Si, SiR, Mx
To know for sure, open the bonnet and it will have VTEC on the Rocker cover. (square thing in the middle of the engine bay).
Unfortunately i can't confirm which models do as the US variations are different to NZ.
Try www.honda-tech.com or www.clubeg6.com for more info. there will be difinitive answers in there.

it depends on what country you are in.
in canada, i believe it is only the Si and EX models that come with VTEC, but with the D16Z6 in Si, it is only a Single Cam VTEC (so its not as great as other DOHC VTECs).
and for the 93s, it doesn't necessarily have to say VTEC on the engine cover. just listen for it
