Gull Wings doors, GM tilt steering, 4 speed close ratio Porsche 914 transmission with 1835 cc VW aircooled engine, dual Doretto 38's downdraft carbs, with headers. Car only weights 1200 lbs. including engine. This car handles like a go-cart. This car would make an excellent hot rod with a V8 engine. One of a kind car, spend thousands - selling due to moving and no storage.

Car was on the road since 1986 till two years ago. Need car to be SOLD ASAP - Car is located East of Brampton.

The Bad: needs restoration, cosmetic detailing, interior work.
Car could be started, but sat outside for 2 years.
The Good: Cheap insurance, (car is registrated as 1971 VW Custom) - pay as little as $250.00/year for insurance, no emissions required, (swap any engine including V8's. This car would make an excellent project show car using domestic parts.

hickfarmer, thanks for the feedback. Do you know of any one wants this car? I am open to offers, or trade for some cash plus some work to be done on another project car. THe project car needs a mustang 5.0 doner car - I have a mustang V6 motor in it but want to swap a 5.0 Litre with tranny, any 5.0 after 1986 will do.

Guys, thanks for the BUMP... can't go wrong 1200lbs..mid engine...all you need is to add some work. I have seen VW aircooled motors with 450hp all the way up to over 800hp. Porsche tranny with an adapter plate can bolt up to most domestic V8 or rotary motors.
