The unit connects to bluetooth enabled laptops,smartphones, and pda's. And just to answer a question I know Im gonna get asked--> You need gps software on your phone/pda/laptop to connect to this unit via bluetooth. Pretty much every GPS program being sold will detect this device and connect to it. I use a program called iGuidance. This unit is just the locator. You can rip GPS software from torrents or you can buy it. Again my price is FIRM
