i just recently replaced my engine and im parting out my good old D16y8. If you guys are looking for any parts of the engine, let me know what you need so I can take it out. so far my price on the tranny is 200 bucks. That comes with everything including the starter, flywheel... everything that is bolted on to the tranny is included. The block on the other hand is already burning oil so don't even bother asking for it unless you want to rebuild the engine then you can have it for 50 bucks or something like that. The engine came out of a 97 1.6 el with 200 xxx highway km's. it ran smooth but it was just burning too much oil. I will be posting some pics sometime this week.

so your tranny comes with everything and is ready to be swapped into another 1.6 right? cuz my buddy has a 1.6 where the tranny is grinding in 3rd... mech said he had to swap it. Yours will do? If so I've pmed you my cell and we can meet up and i'll grab it.

i might be interested in the head, with valve cover, disty, head bolts, and head gasket.

Any whats the condition like? why was the engine burning oil?
