why do men get so worked up if you bash alloy wheels on kerbs etc?

because you buy alloys to look nice and you buy crappy steel ones to go through the kerbs

Cause it costs a lot of monry to get them fixed. Also if a man does it they like to think they are better drivers than women so them scrapping a wheel on a kerb would be unheard of. I think not

Because the things are expensive. Some are a grand for a set. Plus it looks tatty when your wheels are beat up and you know how materialistic blokes are when it comes to cars. I am so glad I failed my test.

not just men, i get worked up if i see if happen or i'm in a car with sum1 who did it...ally's r expensive n a nice bit of equipment...need to be looked after

'cos it's not like you can just "polish out that little scratch"...it knackers them. Alloys are soft metal (compared to steel rims) and mark very easily, bend & go out of shap if bashed on the kerbs.As a comparison...a woman might get a bit miffed if we scraped her new shoes along the wall - they'll still 'work' - but are basically destroyed.

Because alloy wheels are expensive and are there to make the car look good, if they are scuffed they make the car look crap. I'd get worked up if you bashed my alloy wheels on kerbs lol.

If you bash my nice alloy wheels I get worked up because 1)they're expense to replace or re-finish. 2) Now they look crappy 3) People see the marks on my wheels and think I'm a bad driver which I'm not 4) The scuff wheels lower my trade value when I finally sell my car. And if that's not enough reasons I can think up more reasons.
