Tire Repair

My tire blew on the highway, and the rubber came completely off (yes, I should have stopped earlier). So the rubber came off the rim completely (still in a hoop, but the edges were obviously frayed). I basically ran another 100m on it after it blew completely (I heard the "pop!")

This tire is a Good Year, and happened only 14 days after buying my new 2009 car.

1. Is this tire repairable, or scrap rubber?
2. And after driving on it another 100m, in this condition, is it even possible to bring to the manufacturer and have them check whether it's defective, or is it damaged too much to even tell?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

All tires come with a 5 year pro-rated warranty from factory. Your tire is not repairable. Whats the size of your tire? Only the place you purchased it can warranty it IF they choose to. Otherwise you might get stuck with buying a new tire.
