Hi everyone, I'm new
Hey guys! I'm Dev, and I'm from Burlington, not exactly in the GTA, but I came out to a meet on the 22nd at Square One. I enjoyed the people and the cars I met and saw then, and someone refered me to this site. I'm more heavily based on Torontocivics.com and Clubcivic.com since I drive a '92 Civic hatchback lol. Little about myself, I'm still in high school, working a low-*** paying job, want to get into uni, huge love for cars and working on them since my dad was a mechanic, and blah blah blah...
Anyways, more about my car... it's a 1992 Civic DX hatchback. I picked it up in October of '08 for 500 from the original owner in original condition (except for the little dents, scratches, and rust) with 179xxx kms.
All it needed was a lower ball joint to pass safety. Only thing I hate about this car is the lack of power from the super awesome D15B7 engine that barely makes 100 hp at the wheels and through an automatic transmission
Here is a photo of it as of now at 187xxx kms.
And the meet I went to that I mentioned. (Second car from right)
So far all I have done is improve the exterior a bit, lowered on coilovers on KYB struts, and some little bits from the 1990 Acura Integra LS 4-door special edition that stayed by my house for a bit before it got scrapped once the engine and tranny was removed. I also installed the foglights (more like driving lights cause they're hella bright lol), solid amber corners, and DIY headlight black housing.
Future plans is to put the integra B18 LS engine into my civic in the future after rebuilding it with B16A PR3 pistons (for 11:1 compression ratio), and little machining work and heavy engine head work such as porting, polishing, new cams, etc. I also plan on converting my car to a 5 speed later on. I also plan on getting fender flares or fixing the rust, and get the whole car body fixed of dents, replace the front bumper, and repaint it in white. But I'm not in a rush to get these things done as this is my DD and I'm more focused on getting into University.
