All those cars are either Mazda BF (1986-1989) or BG (1990-1995) platforms. The Escort is built on the a Mazda BG platform by Ford. I'm not sure about the exact details of that "Escort", but chances are its actually called a Ford Laser TX3 and is powered by a 1.8L Turbo (BPT) engine and has all-wheel-drive. Much different from the POS Escorts we get here...

Haha yeah you clearly know nothing about what you're talking about. You think the only difference between the NA spec 323's and the overseas 323's is the bumpers and spoilers? :hah:

Theres a reason Civics aren't as popular overseas as they are here... because they have more cars like these.

The other car we don't get is the early 90's nissan pulsar gtr. I've seen vids of them running 400+ hp. They were awd, turbo cars about the same size as 323's. We get ed in this country because of the U.S.'s attitude towards 4 cyl. engines. Just because they can't build a decent one doesn't mean that the rest of the world can't. I deliver to a couple of Ford dealers, who are pretty bitter towards Ford because Ford won't bring in the Cosworth Escorts, and Cosworth engines into North America. Until they do Ford is getting killed by Honda, VW, Toyota and even Hyundai. In europe Cosworth is one of the premier tuners, and some of their escorts are extremely fast. But we don't get them. The only one we ever got was the xr4ti. And look how fast those could be.

Some of those cars are stock. Anyways, you're forgetting that we never got a turbo FC vert here in Canada, or any of the cosmo's..=(
