If I had the money I'd buy it. I wouldn't mind owning a 2nd or third gen as a project car. Overall, the only thing that sounds like what's wrong with it is the exterior and a valve leak. Some body work on those dents, a new set of those hood things, a rear spoiler... you'd be pretty much all set from what I saw and ready for a new paint job (I'd paint it the same color, personally) Fix the leak, and sounds like you got yourself a hot Iroc.
