Im hooked on LT1

i went down to the valley today and looked at a 94 Z28:

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...=en&cardist=31

at first glance it looks average, but up close its gorgeous. besides a small chip on the front of the nose and the bland black headlight parts, the paint is awesome, and the wheels are clean, the inside was spotless...then i looked under the hood. its very clean, its got a K&N FIPK, edelbrock headers, crane cam, flowmaster muffler...automatic, t-tops, power everything...but then we went for a test drive...

when he started it up it sounded pretty good...my idle is better but the system this thing has is killer. opposite the spare tire it has a 10" JL sub and it hits so hard. pioneer deck, really awesome. but as i sat down i noticed the 120,000 miles...and the center console lid, i checked it to see...sure enough the hinge was busted. then i got on it and the tires sucked. no traction. the tranny has that line pressure increaser thingy, so like people always say, it kills the tranny. it doesnt shift unless youre on it and when it does it clunks.

anyway overall its a very nice car, but its not perfect. my test drive was amazing though, i hate my car now. i NEED 325 lb ft of torque!

and that is why prices are ridiculous nowadays. Cause people spend more than a car is worth.

but for your area, Caleb, the car is actually close to kbb value, kbb(for a dealer) sits at about: $6,275

KBB is almost always high......edmunds and nada have a better grasp on price for used cars.

kbb is a loan value if you pay that much you got taken dealers use edmunds (out of the 20 dealership owners I know every one uses edmunds) a car is worth what someone will pay, the problem is so many people today will spend more on something than it's worth (I see it on ebay with electronics they have a starting price higher than retail and it sells) it's because Americans are stupid with money

yes, people are often willing to pay too much for some odd reason.

it's the reason we are filing bankruptcy at such a high rate, I'm a perfect example I had no clue the money would stop comming in spent what I was making next year on toys that I paid too much for and now can't buy much on credit
