i haven't really checked in a while. Next time I fill it up, I'll check. I get about 18mpg in the Dodge, though. Easy to check, the computer tells me. lol

the very last time i filled up i clocked it. i filled it to the max, and went little over 230 miles until i hit half a tank, which is when i fill up again. so i did the math 15.5 divided by two, so 230 divided by 7.75 and thats puts the mileage at about 29. i do more highway driving than city. but i am totally suprised by this.

I doubt that's completely correct, because of the way the tank is shaped, that last half a tank goes a lot quicker than the first half. So you'd be getting less than the 29mpg. I'd bet more around 24-26mpg.

yeah i second that. i was going to say exactly what she said. next time youre at 1/2 tank and you fill up notice what it puts in. when im at 1/2 tank and fill up i put in almost 11 gallons. 1/2 tank for me is 5 gallons, and 1/4 tank is about 2 gallons.

anyway i get about 12-15 mpg with my cam.

because americans are stupid, it's done to give a sense of fuel economy people complain if it moves from full at teh right amount, once it gets to a half tank people don't care so then it reads fairly accurate
