Engine

hey, i was thinking, instead of putting in cam, lifters, msd ignition stuff, head work, ect... After i get done w/ all of that i would be pushed a few grand just on the engine. Well does any one kno the options i have as far as what crate engines i could get ?...my car is a tbi and it looks hard to find somethin like that. Im lookin for somethin around 355 hp, for around 4 grand. Now is there any engines that will fit in my car w/ those specs? ....and if it is carburetored the convirsion kit would cost me around a grand for that wouldnt it?

a little over $4000 but it's complete (bear in mind you could buy a short block and use your intake setup and save some money)

you can do that a little slower, and probably have a better quality engine (not mass produced you can get better tolerances)

Grab an LS1 out of a C5. That'll suit exactly what you're looking for.

welp, i think i found out wht im going to do w/ teh engine. Theres a place localy that sponors races at the drag,ect... and all they do is engine and head work. They sell a 383 w/ over 400hp guarenteed. We've been there before to check it out and the service was great, the guy there took us back and let us look at everything they do to the engines and teh testing it goes through. Throught the build they dyno it a few times, and on the last dyno you get to go there and watch them dyno it. www.dixiemailorder.com ....if ne ones looking for new engines

im not trying to help them out ,so dont get the wrong idea, just thought it'd be helpfull to ne one who's looking.
