My Car

Well in the other thread I mentioned that my Camaro was getting the rear main replaced, well on thursday after they replaced it started leaking transmission oil and they swore up and down they didn't do it. there excuse was we don't mess with them we just lay it on the ground and mount it back up he even showed us in the garage. well needless to say we got all the gaskets and rear main for free and my dad is having it towed(just in case, free with AAA) to a transmission shop that he's friends with. So we will find out the truth. The bad news is that I hope they didn't **** up the transmission and the transmission shop won't be open until monday, on the other hand I get to drive the vette around for the next week or so(but the **** 93 gas is exspensive now regular just went to 2.14 here) All in all it's not so bad if the transmission turns out ok.

yep, exactly what my dad said also. they said the oil was so dark we couldn't tell that it was actually transmission fluid. but now it looks like a different substance leaking in our driveway, color and it seems more runny or idk how do describe it.

no. when it warms up it starts dripping really bad. you let the car sit in one place for a minute and you start getting a nice puddle going.

haha thanks for the words of encouragement. i guess if its going ot be like 1200 for a new trans or something like that i guess i'll just get rid of it and buy another maro' or something. i don't think this car is worth antoher 1200 bucks. hell i can get like a 96 or 97 3.8 for like 3 or 4 grand now. but hopefully it is some pan or seal or something else thats more simple and less exspensive than a new transmission. the thing is that its automatically going to cost 350-400 bucks for just taking the transmission out.

yeah but it won't leak the converter runs the pump, and if not seated the trans won't work
