didnt really know where to put this, but anyways how does that little box with the cubby hole and the lighter on the left side come out. its annoying as hell and rattles so much, i know there is like a bolt right in the middle on the bottom of it but it feels like theres something else or like its part of the whole console. please tell me it unbolts really easily. thanks

I think it's melted right to the piece, but Grant would be the person to know.

ok, i got it out. yea it is, it has the one bolt in the back of it and then i had to take the whole console out and on the under side of it it is kinda melted/has these little clip things, i just ground them off with a mini grinder and used a screwdriver to pop the remaining crap off. it looks like its missing something now (cause it is)lol, but im eventually gonna put some gauges there or something that will look pretty cool.

That cubby hole is the reason I'd never switch to the 97+ middle console. I like it, and its a great place for a switch panel.

You should have just done what I did and mount a LCD screen in the cubby. A 5.7 LCD fits perfectly
