2007 monthly Toronto standing Luxury / Sport meets!

I copied this off of another car forum that I chat on (TorontoSupraClub) and thought that I should post it up on here since there doesn't seem to be any regular GTcars.ca meets.

I will be going this Saturday to the Mississauga meet.

2007 monthly Toronto standing Luxury / Sport meets

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok for the meet schedule for 2007 it will be Saturday nights as the total responded preferred night.
There are possible other ones also which will be added later as there is usually 4 weekends a month and could just work out depending on the turn outs.

The dates will now always be Saturday nights for both meets twice a month at 8pm.
The 2nd Sat (west end) Krispey Kreme Mavis/Brittania Mississauga
of the month and the last Sat (east end)Tim Horton's Kennedy Commons Kennedy/401Scarborough.

If you know of any shops that may be interested in direct marketing pass the info along to me for a nice variant in locations.
Let them know it is direct marketing to our groups and food and a couple of give aways is the preferred method of payment to the group as i am not in this for the money , i am just doing it for a change in the current trend of hanging out with the same guys all the time looking at the same thing .I prefer variety and seeing a whole new genre and style is what personalizing a car is about ,which is why most of us are in clubs.

Total Toronto Sport Luxury .com forum/clubs involved are
Supra
Tuning Emotion
Club Lexus
Lexus Owners
350Z
Acura Zine
Benz world
G35 Driver
RX8
MaxBimmer
Subaru
M3
Vip and Luxury J

**ALSO I thought that if we could get enough GTcars.ca members interested we could start up regular montly meets. Perhaps having GTcars meets the 1st and 3rd Saturday nights of each month, in the same locations. This would give people the opportunity to go to atleast 2 regular car meets each month at a location close to them, and for those that are between the 2 locations they can go to as many as they want.

What do people think of this idea?

Anyone going to come out this Saturday?

If anyone in the Hamilton Area want to meet up before hand and then travel to Mississauga together post here or msg me.

drift_n_shift 04-12-2007 12:16 PM

damn, sounds like some ballin' cars are going to be there. i will prolly show up for some of the may-august meets.

gtcars.ca meets are currently in the works too

CivicSi05 04-12-2007 09:56 PM

Sounds like fun I would definitely do the drive down to see that:smilie_da

Frozentide 04-12-2007 10:20 PM

Awesome! Come on down!! I'll be there (except my Supra wont... not on the road until May 1st :( )

xchevy93x 04-13-2007 02:03 AM

I'll be there...
meeting up with frozentide in hamilton to make the drive into sauga.
me and my cavalier:headbang:

shuller1458 04-13-2007 07:20 AM

Sounds very good, I am looking forward doing those meets. This suturday, thou, is not very pleasent day for a meet (april 14), looks to be cold and rainy. However May 12 sounds very good.

As usual I will be wearing my name tag :)

Frozentide 04-13-2007 09:09 AM

Who cares if there is a little rain or cold!!! Thats why its at the Krispey Kreme so that if the weather isnt the best we have somewhere to hangout and chat.

None of our cars are made of sugar, they wont melt. There wont be snow, so everyone come on out!!!

Delta36 04-14-2007 11:14 AM

I could make the may 12'th meet, I'll try to grab a few guys from the local shops I know to mix it up a little :smokin:

SKperformance 04-14-2007 01:03 PM

This is a luxury sport car club meet, i don't know why but frozen decided to post it here .it was not an open invitation.
You are welcome to drop by and take a look but this thread needs to be deleted.

Umm, you have it in your signature, so someone went there and posted it here, so lame that you would bitch about it and ask me to delete the post via pm.

Well, only thing i'll delete is your signature. Dont want the public to know, dont post it on a public forum.

LOL nice..

yea, who cares, i dont think theres going to be 150 people from here showing up.. and even if they did, so what ? Its interest in THEIR meet and cars.

Aww well.. Guess you gotta own a lex to be a part of their meet :retard:

Frozentide 04-14-2007 02:15 PM

Alright well I didn't realize that meeting at a very regularily used area for car meets meant that this was your idea of trying to keep it a secret?

Frankly I can tell/invite anybody I want. Posting on open forums has this sort of effect.

Since being an uptight, dick-headed snob is the type of person you are and the type of people you are obviously looking for then I hope you have a nice time tonight.

As for a pissing match, your seem to only want people to come to show off who has the most money and can buy the coolest cookie cutter luxury car?

Wutever...

No to be a part of this club you likely have to be rolling on chrome 20's it looks like!

xchevy93x 04-14-2007 02:25 PM

lets not let this get ugly...
im sure we dont need enemies.
what we do need...is meets of our own.
nuttin wrong with the weather.

well, it seems i aint goin to it afterall...
since some people cant get along.
but im so fired up now that i want to do somthing...
what if we get some people together from hamilton/burlington to meet...
even tho its such short notice...but i dont mind being spontaneous. <----that spelled correctly?

come on...you know you want to.

SKperformance 04-14-2007 05:00 PM

It is not an open invite ,i am sorry you felt that but you should contact the person organizing it before you invite anyone you want.
As part of this club you were invited , but to go and post it anywhere you want is like bringing people to someones house because they invited you . Not the nicest of things to do as i am sure you would not be impressed if you ask a friend to come over and a fight breaks out because they get out of hand since they don't know you or care what happens.

This is a meet for the older and mature crowd . It is not for revving engines, doing burnouts pumping bass or anything else that includes childish behavior that is associated with clubs with a younger crowd.

This a luxury and sport clubs meet how does this fall into anything else ,why do you feel you have the right to invite anyone you want with out any thought of asking. That is the kind of attitude or lack of respect of things that i did not want at this meet. As many car owners such as myself are tired of being part of. It is about relaxing and socializing with a common interest. I own a civic but does not mean i want to go to a civic club meet as i have nothing in common with the members associated with them.

I have nothing against other clubs or the cars , I have nothing as a common interest with them.
Does this make any sense to you?

Would you go an post a Porsche club of America meet on a cavalier club

BTW my sig had Lexus owners meet so in no way did it propose an open invite meet, sorry you felt that way.

well, its a good thing you called us out on that then.
so whatever...im not into disrespect...i was just lookin forward to meeting some new people, interested in the same thing...cars. i probly wouldnt have anything in common with all y'all anyway...as you say...it a luxury whatever...
im from hamilton, and have low income...lol so its very boring here.
Peace:veryhappy

Totally agree with this guy. I am many years member on this boardand have nothing against meets by the interest. This ÈinterestÈ happens to be a luxury.

I am perfectly fine with our old spot: Timmies at south of Islington and Bloor, and I really like the idea of *thunder* runs, as another member proposed (we go every hour from meet to another meet spot and gather more people)

You ask us to respect you and your meet but then you show non to us how dose that work?
Show some respect to other people next time and you might get some back.

You could have easily just said sorry guys but its only for your selective group and it wasn’t so post to be public but instead you made your group sound like its better then everyone else...you dont have to be rude to get a point across...

xchevy93x 04-16-2007 10:50 PM

and you drive a civic

SKperformance 04-17-2007 12:09 AM

I am not trying to be nasty ,i am sorry it came over that way . I wish this thread would just go away.

I have a sunfire, a civic and 2 Lexus' ,I am not trying to compete. I wish people would stop reading into this . If it makes you feel better it is a viagra meet ,does that make sense? It is for older clubs and its owners.
Your welcome to come by but the theme is just a bunch of older guys getting together .
We are a different demographic of owners by age and liquid assets to be available to afford certain cars.

Now stop feeling like the last kid to get picked for the baseball team . You can still come out and play but while you go to the titty bar we head to the chiropractor.

We like being different which comes with good and bad and accept that it is not about being special .

whenever that is.

canadaneedsmusic 04-20-2007 03:10 PM

SKperformance, when you say "luxury" car meet what does that mean? What is the 'cut off' for the cars?
