I was planning on going to this untill monday... when an old man ran the stop sign and smacked right into me at 40. The basterd trashed my Lexus SC400 and now it might be a write off, waiting for the final word (It is at 427 Collision Repair). :rippedhan

Cleared of fault by the cops, maybe it will be repaired and I could go up in a few weeks.

ouch sorry to hear that..
and even more ouch cause its at 427 Collision... their work is so cheaply done

Their work is not cheap by any standards, I know many people that have been there and they did a great job. Heck, if they were cheap why would they be considered the top body shop in the country and recieve all the recognition that they have recieved (they also did some paint jobs for people I know as well as body work). Oh well, my car is screwed and they probally won't even get a chance to work on it since it will probally be a write off. I might buy my friend's custom built 380hp to the wheels Honda engine (tested in a beat up civic) and his gsr as well as headers, intake, exhaust, ecu (mugen and not used while testing the engine... yet), close ratio 5 speed and alot more stuff or the 1965 mustang I just saw, either way I am trying to get to the track as soon as I can, but I still need to wait to see if it is a write off or if I'll get my SC back (I don't really want to drive a honda, I prefer a LUX).

LOL, too bad they are not the top body shop. They are not even in the top 50 by any insurance standards either. They have been under more insurance fraud investigations the the chop shops in downtown T.O. Dude, trust me, get your car out of there and to a real shop, hell Macco is better then them too. If you are saying its a 40km/h crash and you were stationary at the time of impact, there is only about $6000 worth of damage at any real body shop.

your right they arnt cheap but rather expensive.
When it was time to paint my old car I was sent there by a friend who had his 92 mustang in a fender bender painted there, but then when the job was to be done.. i saw some others come out all looking like the surface of an orange peel. job.
I procrastinated on my paint job and the rust on the body work eventually came through on my friends car... it was worse then a macco job, the car looked worse one year later then before it went in. oh and the car was just resprayed/retouched not even what he had paid for.

427 auto probably does some of the best body work repair and painting in toronto and provide life time warranty on there work.

So you can go back to maaco, but i'll go to 427 :thumbsup

Yeah, this is getting off topic, and I was not stationary, this is also a lexus that needs an entirely new door (smashed straight to hell, as well as dash, fender, bumper and my ecu was popped out which is not good, my distributor as well as some piping may be ed). So anyone here going to the track? If so tell us how it went, I wanted to go so badly, either that or to Shannonville MS Park to use the circuit.

Then he was not going 40km/h nor where you if you were moving. That kind of damage is consitant with both cars doing 80k's.And the car hitting you on your right site, something like running a stop. Yes, I would know, as I did drive a tow truck and picked up the cars after a accident.

MRAD 04-17-2005 10:52 PM

It was exactly as I said and at a stop sign which the other guy drove right through, this is also off topic. Did anyone go to this, how was it?
