Toronto Area Thunder Runs

I am holding some Thunder Runs Throughout this 2006 season. These are similar to a cruise. The first one is planned for Thorsday May 11 with others close behind. I will post the final destination (one week prior to event) once I know how many people plan on attending but it will be like a downtown Hooters or a billiard hall. These events are for all types of cars (muscle, import, classic, 4x4, euro, race, bike, etc...)Details:
There will be several stops made along the way, so pick the most conveniant point for you. At the final stop, we will all go for a 30-45min cruise and end up at TBA
The route + times. Start at Burger King on Queen St+Hwy410 (Brampton) leaving @6pm
2nd stop is at KFC on Tomken+Cawthra (Misserysauga) leaving @6:30pm
3rd stop is Canadian Tire Queensway+427 (Etobicoke) north east lot, leaving @7pm
4th stop is Sunnyside Beach Pavillion (swimming pool) on Lakeshore south of High Park (Toronto) parking lot immediatly east of the pool, leaving @ 7:30pm
From there we will go for a cruise around the city and end up at TBA by 8:30pm or so for food/ drinks/car talk/etc...
Please let me know if you plan on attending so I can make reservations for our group, to make sure that we don't leave without you, and so I can tell you what Im driving. Cruise route directions will be made available at each stop. If you cannot make it for the cruise, you're more than welcome to meet up with us at 8:30 at TBA
For more information visit Thunder Runs
A special thanks to Rick.

Theres several people who are planning on attending this (about 15ppl for the first one) and it seems to be comming together ok. There will be several dates May 11 is the first, May31 Wednesday is the second, another will be in June and will prolly be a weekend event taking up a good part of the day [like going out to Niagra area, or Guelph, or to Barrie/Collingwood/Race track/based around another show/etc... all depends on who wants to do what]. I am planning on having at least one a month till October/November.
You still have lots of time to let me know if yer coming for May 11.

I Wish I Had My Car Out To Run With Ya's

A final destination has been set for the first 2006 Thunder Run. It is the Fox and Fiddle @ 280 Bloor St West (north west corner or Bloor + St. George) Toronto. On Thorsday May 11 @ 9pm they have $3.50 drinks and have drop in Texas Hold-Em Poker, No cover.

Also I've made an update on the "stops" along the way. If for any reason the parking lot imediatly east of Sunnyside pool is closed for construction or what have you, the last stop/pick up spot will be directly under the wind mill at Exhibition Place (if you cant find that, you need to stay home, lol)

So if you cannot make it out for the run at all, your welcome to meet us at the Fox and Fiddle.

If your RIDE is under tarps or not ready for the road yet, yer still more than welcome to come out and participate, bring yer neighbours car or get a friend to drive cuz I don't really care, its more about the people than the ride, but the ride counts too. My RIDE sits motorless and I'll be in my overrun daily driver, a 1995 Black on Grey 2dr Sebring LXI.

One final thing, regardles of who comes out (younge or old, any nationality) or what they drive, give respect to one another or don't show up.

So come on out everyone and ENJOY :smilie_da

ATTENTION:- an location error was made for the Thunder Run.

The location for KFC in Mississauga reads Tomken + Cawthra, this is wrong, it should read Tomken + Dundas St. as the second pick up spot.

my appologies for any confusion.

The event was rained out. On the Thunder Run main page (on the host site) it stated that if it rained - the run would be cancelled, well it pretty much rained all evening, I drove to all the stops/ pick up points just in case there were some die hards or those that were not aware of the cancellation, and just in case the weather let up. Basically no one came out, but I did meet some other people that happened to be in the lots (dragon boat racing practice) and talked to them for a while till it started to pour. The route was not driven for obvious reasons, it will be used at a later date.

Next GTA thunder run is May 31st Wednesday.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 02:27 PM.
