yep... f the midwest.
Okay, so I basically just had every worst possibility happen on the way home.
Earlier, it rained all day.. I figured hey maybe it wont snow at all.. It was supposed to do 2-5, I checked it right before I left for work "small flurries, less than an inch"... not to worry.
Step out of work fast forwarded 5 hours.. immediately almost fell on my ***. Yeah, basically crazy slippery (Im so glad I put my new tires on 2 weeks ago!!) Start to leave, yep, everythings fine... get on the highway, doin about 40ish... dont wanna push it... my westbound to northbound exit comes up... I take it lightly. About 50% through the turn I see a van, like 70 feet from the highway, Im thinkin "man, its slippery, but its not even that much snow" ...right then back end gives a little tug, only doing like 35, I get a little freaked, but the car stablizes, maintains.. were all good. Just about getting out of the turn onto northbound interstate, back end whips out like a bus just t-bone smoked my assend into oblivion.. so the car with the drivers front end just flying towards a guardrail, gradually gliding further over the shoulder towards the rail "Im thinkin... oh no... not now... not my new rims".. just then, with my wheels already turned into the direction of my destination, whips back into action and I basically am at the point of doing a u-turn on a one way interstate.. i fly across 2 lanes, out in front of a car doing a good 40-50, luckily he didnt anihilate the deer in the headlights look off my face.
So I decide, **** this... Im getting off this ****** *** interstate... just shooken the hell up, I see cars EVERYWHERE off the road at this point.. like im travling through a graveyard of transportation. I go to start going over a bridge off the exit... oh sweet, no traction... I can hear the tires just ripping to get up, luckily I did. Youll be glad to know the rest of my trip at about 25mph for 10ish miles went decently.. At one point I had to maintain about 10 mph towards a stoplight up a 45* incline it seemed... just so I wouldnt be raped stopping and falling backwards.
After that, somewhere between the giant litterboxes, and the piles of escobars coke turned into salt that I ran over about 11 times I decided that I hate the midwest. Luckily, very luckily, she made it home... and there she will sit until this stupid **** melts all the way down the mississippi.
I advise anyone who is driving rear wheel to not drive... seriously. This **** is just crazy... If you have this storm headed towards you... I would really reconsider driving anywhere.. possibly even walking.
