HELP!!!! Radio problems...

hey,
ive got a 2003 subaru wrx and the radio does not work, everything is hooked up properly but it still dosent get power. anybody know what the problem is???? any feed back would help thanks...

k, well does it have an aftermarket connection (like for subs or amps or something?) if so, check the battery terminal and if you see the aftermarket power cable there, check to see if the fuse is missing.

if not, double check connections and make sure the power and ground wires are actually connected to the battery and ground, and check that the remote wire is connect to a 12v fuse/accessory

did you disconnet the battery before installing the deck? I would check the radio fuse and ensure you are getting power directly to the radio via multimeter or test light. You can use this method to test all of your main wires with the key in the on position with the engine off. This will get the basics down and you should atleast have the deck powering up at that point. Also did you get a jumper harness? Double check that the pins are located in the right place as i have had that issue before even though the plug was for the right car.

well actually its a stock oem radio, the car was a roll over when i bought it and, now that im pretty much done fixing the car, i noticed the radio wasn't working

check the ground wires and power wires to see if they actually go to the frame and the battery. it might have gotten loose during the roll over
