Pics: Supra Clean ride

95 6 Spd Targa Top. Titan Copper paint job. Stripped the car to a shell and rebuilt it from scratch. Brand new shortblock and head (stock), 264 cams, valvesprings, retainers. Tilton Clutch Gt40-67 turbo on a custom turbo kit using the ebay manifold modified, Virtual Works Intake Manifold and Titan Fuel system. HKS Hipermax coilovers, Titan Swaybars, CCW road race wheel package, Mazworx rollcage and Sparco Milanos etc. I've still got a Sparco steering wheel, Titan Line Lock Kit and NX kit to get installed along with a few more dress up items under the hood. I probably missed a bunch of modifications, at this point it's even hard for me to remember.

jesus christ that's a clean engine bay

is it just me, or is the front end of these cars really long?? From that one picture, it looks like the hood is huge, is in actually, or just the way it was shot?

Also, this may be a dumb question. It does't have a front strut tower brace. From what I understand, they do help a bit, so is there a reason he doesn't have one? I can see that the driver side strut tower mounting bolts are covered, so is that the reason? or is there another one?

Strut bars are a pain in the ass taking it on/off everytime you do work on the car yourself. I took mine off. They do help a bit but another reason you don't see them on is that it won't fit due to clearance of the turbo (mainly on large singles)

That paint is immaculate. My friend from W N.Y has an LS-1 Camaro with the same color. Real sharp :appl:

My god...Incredible

About the strut bars, with the a70 and a80 chasis, flex is not that big of a problem in the front. With the targa option and since it is a hatchback, the body flexes in the rear mostly. Targa bars, hatch bars, floor bars etc. are more commonly used.

Gent's. That is what a $100,000 Supra looks like.

Clearly you dont visit Supraforums very often. 80% of the MK4 owners have cars that clean and that much money into them. :thumbsup

so since u set up camp there why don't u post some MKIV's with an engine bay half as clean and an insane paint job, and overall cleanliness like this one has...(owners w/o sponsorships or shops)

also, that chromed out motor and orange paint job is not my thing, but whatever, it looks good on this one.

Chrome is more for show cars. This is a trailer queen for sure. Check out a few BPU Supra's and you'll see what performance engine's look like (not to say this engine wouldn't perform extremely well) they'll have the same intangibles, big turbo, exposed cams...just no chrome.
