Toyota Check Engine Light Self Diagnosis Test

Hi, does anyone here know how to do a check engine light self diagnosis test for a '97 Toyota Camry? Any help would be great.

But but what do you mean ? your toyota has a problem ?

but jdm real import cars never break down! thats what makes them so much better than any american car. You must of gotten ripped off and your toyota is not a real toyota, an american robot must of tightened a bolt for your car.

On the older ones you cross 2 pins in the diagnosis port. turn the key to the "ON" position and the check engine light will flash the code if any.

Mine is E1 and TE1 but thats an 89 lol. yours is probably different
