Abuse of Power - the continuing story

My request for information from the Ministry of Transport is continuing. It has now reached the arbitration stage. Essentially my position is that the information I am requesting from MTO should be posted on the internet for free on the ORSAR site as it has been up until 2005. Since Fantino has been in the media telling us that things have improved due entirely to the street racing legislation, the years 2006 and 2007 have not been posted.

As well, MTO has made the manner in which it presents the information so confusing that it is of almost no value to anyone as posted.

In addition, due to physical handicaps, I have no income due to unwarranted interference in my business and other factors beyond my control. (So thank you those who bought my book - that helped pay some of the printing bill.) Since I have no income, under the Freedom of Information Act, I am entitled to the information I'm requesting for free. The Ministry is objecting to giving me the information for free though it is required to by law. No doubt they are afraid I will set a precedent that can be taken advantage of. That is certainly true as I intend to take full advantage of my status in all sorts of ways that will probably embarass the government.

Another aspect of the situation is that I want the information to show that for years MTO and the police have been inadvertently or intentionally contributing to the number of accidents that occur on Ontario roads by failing to tell motorists the truth about the real cause of accidents. Whether inadvertent or intentional is something I plan to find out as well. That is likely scaring some people in the government right now.

The bottom line is that the government has no legal means of preventing me from having access to the information I want for free because my intent is to save lives. When I get it, it the members of this thread will be the first to know. Again thank you for your support.
