aftermarket intakes are illegal in Ontario?
I was chatting with a buddy today and he told me you can get fined $110 if a police catches you with an aftermarket intake in your car. Anybody been pulled over for this before? :eyes:

If the Crankcase/Valve cover breather is routed back into the intake pipe and not vented into the atmosphere, the're legal.
|
^ Exactly. I don't think they can do anything just so long as you don't have any of those small breather filters sticking out anywhere.
I had a fun time quizzing the MTO when they were searching my completely legit and emissions friendly swapped engine. |
I got a ticket once for my AEM CAI. I went to court and they droped it... They told me that the law is: the cone has to be in an inclosed box. they couldn't see my cone because its a CAI....so i said how do you know its not inclosed if you cant see it...and they let me off.... :)

Can someone quote chapter and verse any legislation regarding the air filter? I mean, if it's in an ENCLOSED box, how can it draw any air in?

not a sealed box just enclosed....just like your stock intake box....thats what thoes idiot cops said anyway....i got off with no tickets so
