Burnouts and drifting

is drifting in empty parking lots and doing burnouts on my street illegal and if im caught what kind of tickets and fines can i be faced with.

i'm not sure if it's illegal, but i know you can get charged. you can be charged with public mischief, reckless driving and a noise violation.

well aslong as you have permission from the landlord, I dont really think they can say anything...

but if you do that on the street its a stunting ticket, which is basically same thing as racing.

So i guess what ur saying is its not a great idea to do either because i can get in alot of trouble

^yeah pretty much

Drift has it spot on. The police may harass you a bit if they catch you. If they get a complaint you'll get ticketed for sure. They wouldn't impound your car or anything like that, street legal or not. Many parking lots are private property.

you cant get into trouble if your drifting on private property as long as there is nothing around that you can harm.. if the parking lot is empty you are fine but if theres a danger to others then it will be dangerous driving.

Thanks man im not gonna do that
