crazy speeding ticket
 

I am new to the forum. Approx. a week ago, I was going down birchmount and finch at 6pm on sunday. My speed was 163km/h in a 60km/h zone. The police was such a prick..he had one of those dark blue cop cars and he sat in someones driveway so I didnt see him at all. He ran out into the street prepared to stop me. I saw him running and thought he was a pedestrian J-walking across the street so I stepped on the gas and was gonna go to my cars max. and then I had to slam on my brakes -__-

My friend had the same problem. He was going back and fourth in court for like 8-10 months. Anything is possible get a good family lawyer or whatever. Be prepared to put your forehead for sale on ebay for advertising space.





Case got thrown out 2 days ago.

wow ... i sure hope this thread and your story is some kind of childish joke because if i saw someone as stupid as you blowing down that street at 160+, i'd report you myself and hope to god that you have your license taken away for a VERY long time. it's irresponsible KIDS like you who perpetuate the stereotype of recklessness to other responsible young drivers.

Kids should NOT be playing in the streets.......but if their ball goes out, playing tag etc...

Hope the officer also makes a call to notify the registered owner that the car was also travelling that speed.

My son usually plays in the backyard, but it's easy to lose control of a car at that speed especially on surface streets. A car will travel a long way at that speed sideways. Or backwards. That's why there is a speed limit. I hope he loses his liscense. It'll serve him right.

sick-boi, if you do return and make it past the previous posts, I'd urge you to take this seriously:

Hire a lawyer to represent you. Even with a clean record, the prosecutor will be asking to have your licence suspended due to the high rate of speed involved, and will not be very likely to offer a deal. You'll likely have to see this through to trial and hope for the best. There are any number of procedural or evidentiary items which a good lawyer could make use of in trying to have your case thrown out. If there's anyone on the forum who could suggest a good lawyer in this case, I'd encourage them to post.

On another note, perhaps the moderators would consider setting up a separate forum for the kinds of responses we've seen here. A forum dedicated to judging the mistakes of others would seem to be in demand. I'm certain the responders from this thread would be first to air some of their mistakes for criticism.

I hope they grill your ass and make you pay thousands of dollars a month for insurance so ur ass is forced to take a bus..ing pathetic at 6pm at night no less.

You are very lucky you didnt try to pull a hero move like that around where I live is all I can say, im a nice guy but some of the other parents are nuts and this is Barrie..everyone has a shotgun or rifle!!!

I lived in Barrie for a while and still work not to far from it. The people in barrie are nothing like what you are talking about. Barrie is just like newmarket or brampton. Yes there are hicks in Barrie but this is not the movies. :loser:

And second, if you were doing 160ish ..... the vehicle you were in was OBVIOULSY NOT worth running that fast .... at that speed... you were almost maxed out...... PLEASE!!!!!
I've done far over that speed, easily add 100k on to that, but on a Safe, secure, and closed TRACK...

think about this .......... you wanna run that fast??? Get out of mommy's grocery getter, pay up like me and the big boys who can actually afford a WORHTY car PAST that speed, and have fun running...........and I do EMPHASIZE that I want this to be NEVER for you.....

Do us all who have family and friends a favour, stay off the roads, stay off the sidewalks, stay away from vehicles all together..... you are not worthy of such priviledges .... & If I was a cop, u'd be hauled into jail & court so fast, with AS MANY possible tickets as I could give you, that you could not stand up due to the shear wait of the paper work that would keep you to your seat.
