illegal right turn

made a wrong right turn... cop didnt write my name down correctly i dont think it really matters...

correct me if im wrong but if i choose not 2 go 2 court and i decide that i want to just pay the tickets, will i lose 2 points

and if i do loose to points i was wondering appx how much it would effect my insurance per year

and another question is that I, am not insured i was driving under my dads and would the court find that out if i set a trial date or ?

how do you make a wrong right turn? that's like not being able to drive straight :S

anyways, to answer your questions ...

amendments to biographical information can be made on the court date ...

if you plead guilty and pay the ticket, you will lose 2 demerit points ...

insurance rate hikes are dependent on a number of things (driver history, # of previous tickets, # of past lost demerit points, age, sex, etc.), so there's no way anyone can give you an approx. of how much insurance will increase. not that it matters, because you said it yourself that you're not even on the policy, so your parents rates won't hike, not until you become part of the policy.

you don't necessarily need to be insured to drive your parents car (any accident that results will affect their record instead), although insurance companies usually want you to even if you're an occasional driver ...

as most people will say, you should just fight it, unless you were doing something else stupid and the cop gave you a break by only charging you with this ticket.

TurboH22, check the HTA. It has the definition for this charge.

...and for the record, gents, you don't lose demerit points, you get them. It's like golf - high scores are BAD. :nono:
