You have absolutely nothing to lose by taking this to court, except a few minutes of your time. A worth while exchange for the chance that this could be thrown out.

For the record, if the officer does show up, and he's got all his ducks in a row (clearly documented evidence), you can still change your plea to guilty at the time of the trial.

was it really 65 in 50 or did the cop lowered it to that? if he did then plead guilty, otherwise you will fight the original charge and most likely loose

If the officer doesn't show, this is irrelevant. The 'original' charge in this case is the 15 over. Any changes would result in an 'amended' charge. If the officer shows up, again, you can change your plea to guilty at that time - to the original charge (15 over).

Best person to ask is ins. broker..

But I think most insurance will take 3 moving violation within 3 years as a major ( DUI etc. ) and put you under high risk.. mine has stayed the same with 2 speeding..

Sorry.. money I can make back.. time I can't buy back.. and I would make way more money going to work

But don't quote me on it.. just call them and ask.. make up a fake name if you must.. it's over the phone.. or the net
