Need Advice, failure to stop at red light!!!

Hi Guys

First of all I'm new here and would like to say hi to the community. Great forums we got here!

I need advice as I have run myself into a nasty situation here. I had a ticket for a rolling stop at a red light when making a right turn but the cop that pulled me over was trying to meet his quota and gave me 2 tickets.

1.) Failure to obey red light
2.) Non valid ownership.

My ownership was a photocopy of the actual ownership and I know countless people that do this with no problems. That I have the original copy which should get it dropped.
The disobey red light ticket, I'm not sure what I can do and looking to see if anyone could offer me some insight as to what to say/do.

Now thats not even the bad part, I had booked a court date, missed it and had it reopened by the justice of peace. He gave my court dates on the spot, and being the irresponsible idiot I am, I missed the re-openings.

I really can't afford to have this conviction on my record and so I've gone and filed a motion to extend time to pay fines and motion to reopen.

Does anyone know the chances of me being able to have this reopened for the 2nd time? I mean, I'm definately not guilty for the ownership, and the 2nd is questionable. I'm in desperate need of some advice. I should mention that the reopening details just outlined my irresponsibility in forgetting the reopening date, I wasn't willing to lie and make up some excuse.

My hearing is coming up soon next month to consider my motions and appeals.

Please, anyone with experience if you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

take a doctors note or show them some sort of good reason why you couldnt be there. Then they will reopen the date for you. The reason has to be really good. Like an exam or you got the swine flu. Cant be something mickey mouse like i was sick or i didnt feel well. good luck
