Racing Ticket
Ok people Need some help here have had alot all ready for some people and even the officer who pulled us over. ok Heres the story me and a buddy crusin around when we get swarmed by the chopper and 2 cops we were like WTF then we were told we were racing and the chopper got ous on tape. so then we get the ticket Race Motor Vechicle. The cop said not to lose any sleep its nothin big just go to court.
Anyone got and suggestions on what to do. :thumbsup

simple, you likely got a summons to appear. go, plead not guilty, and make a motion that you wish to proceed with a trial. At that point, they'll issue you a court date. Upon receipt of the court date, take a few days, then submit a request for disclosure to the crown. Ask for all informations and evidence to be presented pertaining to the case.
Also ask for the notes from any officer who was involved. all of these people will be required to attend court.

What - are you a lawyer now? How the heck can we beat a ticket when the chopper catches us ? I heard that thing has video fer chrissake. What legal background do you have ?
Whats your brilliant defence for the chopper ? I got a ticket and its up in October...id like in on your secret to 'winning' if you wanna share it.
Sometimes that chopper is way high and you cant even hear it...then all of a sudden - WHAM - the meets get busted up and there it is. Same thing in York too.....

worked for me
go to court
tell the JP that you have an explanation for driving fast.
you will nvr beat the tape from a police chopper, the cops will gang up on you and lie.
tell the court that you had to go to the bathroom cause you had whicked diarea (the trots)
if the cop or prosecutor says why didn't you say this at the time, tell them you were too embarassed to say anything and you could'nt think straight cause your bowels were twisting if you get my drift.
that sounds so far fetched the JP will give you the benefit of the doubt and let you go with a scoulding.
It worked for me when I got a 60 over on the 401.
I think that the whole court laughed so hard that the JP didn't have the heart to punish me any further. she let me walk...

Show me the wager or Bet?
(Note Flashing the 4 ways can be seen as agreeing u won and braging rights count as a wager)
Tell me how we are racing? Show the speed.

Now here's the thing, were you actually racing ?? Or were you just side by side speeding ?
Just like you can't really PROVE that you were just cruising - they can't prove that you were racing, So what they have video ? What do they have video of ? two cars side by side - What does that prove ??
Unless you stopped in the middle of the street and lined it up.
I was driving around one night and met up with a buddy and I pulled over next to him to talk about where we were going to go. Next thing I know the chopper's spotlight lights us up and 2 cruisers dart out from behind a factory, they wanted to give us tickets for racing, But my buddy turned to the cops and was like - What exactly do you have to show that we were going to race - we were stopped next to each other - No judge will ever give out a conviction based on that. So they just told us to get the out of there.

Spend some dough look smart
Buy the highway traffic act at Chapters, I bought one and it includes case law! Racing is broken down in past court decisions. Trust me and stick to the washroom story.
You think you have the fortitude to question a cop on the stand? And look smart??
In my last time in traffic court I thought I was prepared but when I got my chance I choked. I have seen some of you drive, I don't think you'll do any better than me.!
