This is obviously a really late reply, but next time go to NO POINTS TRAFFIC TICKETS.

They helped me fight my speeding ticket and got it completely eliminated! The paralegals were really nice and calmed me down after I stressed about it for so long. Good luck!

i got a ticket in New York once for speeding...never thought twice about it and never looked at it a 2nd time so i dont know if the same theory would apply here

Insurance companies don't go around checking your driving abstract unless they have a reason too. If you have too many claims then there is a good chance they will find out. It cost them money to get your driving abstract and therefore they will only check if there looking for a reason to raise your rates. If this is a first offence then try and fight it, what do you have to loose? Regardless of whether or not you win DON'T TELL YOUR INSURANACE COMPANY. So many people make the mistake of calling the insurance company and asking dumb questions like " I just got a speeding ticket will my insurnace go up?" " I hit someones car but paid them cash is that ok?" Do what you have to and keep your mouth shut.
