hey man your definately going to get screwed, I remember when I was 16 I was paying a fortune for insurance and still do haha. If I were you I would call belairdirect.com they are cheap, just watch out they are not the best place to be insured from.

you're going to have it rough to be honest. You're young, inexperienced and you've bought a car that's been on the export theft hot list for almost a decade now.

On top of which, these days, there is no such thing as cheap insurance. For the last 8 years the Canadian Insurance Industry has reported record profits every year. Between the punishing premiums and the scare tactics aimed and getting you to rethink claiming when you do need it you're going to have to work part time all year round just to afford the insurance.

We run an automotive consumer website called MyAutoCafe.com which has a bunch of information on it on these pages ---> www.myautocafe.com
you should probably take a moment to read it all over before you start shopping.

Keep this in mind also, you're young and I get you're going to want to race around in you're new ricer but seriously give yourself some time to get some experience because a lot of companies out there now are seriously investigating accidents involving drivers in "a certain type" of car. They will deny claims based on the fine print part of your policy that says claims won't be paid to anyone of the claim was incurred during an illegal activity. So if, for instance, you got in an accident and someone was hurt. If they could prove you were "racing" at the time, the person you hurt would sue you (not your insurance company) personally and since you're a minor, this would completely bankrupt your family... unless of coarse your family has a couple tens of millions to throw away... just some food for thought.

Man I'm getting old and grumpy eh?

belair is amazing. Cheap rates. Some idiot rear ended me last year. I took my car to an expensive bodyshop and they covered everything. Even gave me an Impala rental, which I destroyed :P
