will this affect insurance?

This is for my brother

he already got a 10km over ticket 2 years ago and paid it.

He got nailed for speeding 20 over, but was furious (he believes it was bullshit) and made a court date to fight it. He understands 20km over equals demerit points. His court date is for may 25, and the event happened last may 22nd.

He is going to try to move the court date using exams as an excuse. My question is this:

once you move the date once can you do it again? I have a friend who says he keeps doing that until they lose the paperwork. I also have an uncle who used to be a ticket fighter and says you only get one chance to move it.

if he shows up to the court date (after it is moved) what is the chance of the cop being there (toronto region)? and if the cop IS there and there is no chance of getting it off completely but they reduce it to 15km over will that still affect insurance rates? he is 20 and looking to insure a muscle car this summer lol.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yes it will still affect his insurance. Ins. companies look at the number of infractions, not points, points up to a certain amount are used to take away your license, thats all there is to it. I would fight EVERY ticket I get.
