Many companies will raise your premiums after 3 not at fault collisions. However thats not always the case depends on your company.

what voltar said... you should be OK with 2 but 3 seems to be the magic number within a 2 year period.

A friend of mine got rear ended a few times over the past year. He was paying $400 per month.

All accidents will catch up with you eventually.

I'm pretty sure your insurance premium will not get effected if this is your first not at fault accident. But i heard that if you happen to get too many not at-fault accident within a short period. The insurance will think you're a reckless or proposely provoking an accident which you might be put in a high risk category.

If the damage isn't that excessive, I'd say fix the damage yourself.
Try not to get the insurance company involved if it isn't that bad.

I'd say only get the insurance involved if the damage is over $500 or $1000 which is what your deductible usually is....hope this helps.

It really does suck that you got rear-ended so many times....BAD LUCK indeed.
