Is it worth it for me to fight this?
 

Hey guys,

I got clocked yesterday morning doing 71 in a 50 zone....the thing is that the cop pulled me over for going over just as i had passed the sign saying maximum 50 begins...I told the cop the i always slow down to 50 for that part of the road, and i didnt want to be rude and say should i have slammed my brakes to get right down to 50 as soon as i see the sign? anyways, he gave me a reduced ticket of 65 instead of 70 that way i wont lose demerit points, but he said that if i decide to go to court to fight it and lose, it will be upped back to 20 over and i will lose demerit points (not even sure how many it would be either)....do you guys think i even have a case thats worth fighting? is there a good chance he'll show up to court? (I hear that cops now have to show up to their court dates)...any input you guys have let me know...by the way the ticket came out to 52 bucks, which i should really be spending on my street/strip project, not bullshit tickets

just go to court and before the hearing begins talk to the prosecutor. He/She will bring it down and ur gonna walk away paying a $30 fine and no points
