Would you get a ticket fighter or go yourself?

I have a court date coming up in around a month....would you hire someone to fight it or would you just go yourself and plead guilty? If I hire someone...can i find someone that'll only charge me if they win?

firstly depending on the ticket is it worth hireing someone or not? also there is no such person that wil be free unless they win compleatly. if the get a reducion in points or reduced fine then they have already "won" and in your case its not that expensive. i have a guy going for me in a week and he charged me 260 taxes in.

For any charges under 6 points, I'd suggest reading up on the specific charge, laying out a defense strategy (if you're pleading Not Guilty), or determining which charge you're going to ask your ticket to be pled down to, and showing up in decent clothes.

More serious charges such as Careless/Dangerous driving, or alcohol-related charges, are best handled by a lawyer (not just an "agent").

Reschedule it about two weeks prior, you might get lucky and the cop will have a scheduling conflict.
