97 Golf - CHECK light ON, but goes OFF if releasing pedal
 

Hi folks,

I have strange problem with my 1997 Golf GL (automatic).

Recently the CHECK list has been lighting up intermittently, and stays lit up until I release (even very slightly) the acceleration pedal ? :dunno:

This began 1 month ago. At first I was scared to drive the car but since it's a neccessity, I have gotten used to living with it. However, I would like to ask if anyone has had this similar experience. I like to research before taking car to garage,.. I have a few vacation days coming so planning to bring it in for this problem.

Find a local forum. Find someone local who has a VAGCOM and let them scan your car, then post the codes on here and we can help you out.
