getting a 2000 beetle 1.8T

anyone have a turbo beetle here?
i'm looking to make it a sleeper :)

where can i find more info on beetles, like engine model, specs, etc. any dedicated beetle forums (best if there are some based in canada/toronto)

where can i search for decent price performance parts?

what are some of your experience/suggestion towards certain mods. i know we all have different routes, but i just want to here some experience.

what do you want, a stop light to stop light car or a street drag?

t_dot_SiR 09-24-2007 09:50 AM

i'm not really into races or anything like that...

but i like to have something that gives you spices from 0-70 to surprise people... and when you're on the freeway and you need to overtake a slow person... i want some kicks when you wanna go from 100-110 to 120-130 to overtake someone.... i guess i need some good low end torque and some good midrange power right? i'm not into races, once i touch 70... i'll stay around there even if the people decide to go 70+ to overtake me... they can be my guest hahahaa... i only like surprises ie. "that beetle can go to 60 really nicely" hahahahha

not necessarily, a light to light can be a short distance, like a 1/4 mile. Street drags are usually highway rolls, if your not made for higher speeds than your .

i would say i'm looking for low to mid range power instead of the top end... does that give you a better idea of what mods i should go with?

I have a buddy who owned a 1.8T beetle before. He had a K04 turbo upgrade plus bolt on's. Defently a quick car
