What dealership does your brother work at? To be honest with you, enles your brother is going to be giving any side deals/cash deals there is no way I am ever going to go to a dealership enles its to pick up parts..

Paying 115/hour is crazy.. If worse comes to worst theres alot of VW shops that can do what a dealership does for cheaper..

ie;

Euroline, Lukazport, ESS, SEM, H2sport, etc.

Guys this is for honest real work. So no side jobs.
All legitimate work.

Smile Greetings - Have a quick question please

Good day,

My dad is a mechanic, but since I am looking to buy a second hand '92 VW Passat GL, he recommended I look for a specialized mechanic for VWs. He thinks the vaccuum hose may need repair/replacement, but in not sure.

I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money to get this vehicle up to par, but an honest appraisal of what is wrong and how much it will cost, to get it going would be appreciated.

Hope you brother can help me out. Can you ask him how much it would cost me to have him look the car over? It is currently parked in North York (Yonge/Finch area), but I can take it to him, wherever he may be in the city.

Thank you in advance for your prompt response - either way.

Respectfully - Claudia

92 GL means it has a 2L 16v engine. Enles your ready to replace all vacuum hoses, I wouldnt bother with just one.

All the hoses suck on those motors but the motor itself is one of the best ever made. It just doesnt die..

Hahah I had one, turbod it, beat on it every day and still sold it. Very cheap to maintain(if you know where to go) and better then decent on gas.
